Building an entrepreneurial “toolkit” becomes a business owner’s guide in walking on the path to success and prosperity. The entrepreneur must find strategies that will help sell his/ her products and/ or services to the consumers, which is why it is vital for selling skills to be a resource. LAEDA held a seminar on Building Your Entrepreneurial Selling Skill because this will help entrepreneurs reach their full potential and have a successful business. The seminar’s agenda explored the concepts presenting vs. selling, mastering the sales process, building credibility and rapport with customers, standing out from the crowd, and using effective tools to measure success and boost results.

Making Connections at LAEDA’S Open House Alumni Networking and Potluck

Waiting until the end of November to enjoy some good food and camaraderie seemed like a bit too long – so LAEDA decided to hold a potluck for its alumni as an opportunity to mingle and connect with each other. The night’s program consisted of a mini-presentation on marketing, a fun round of networking bingo, and closing remarks about the value of belonging to LAEDA’s alumni network. Gaining knowledge, sharing experiences, and making connections are valuable components in an entrepreneurial journey, which is exactly what happened November 8 at LAEDA’s alumni open house.

Congratulations and a New Beginning for EDTP Class 82

Camden, NJ- On November 14, 2018, entrepreneurs of class 82 had their last Entrepreneurial Development Training Program (EDTP) class. In this class, the highlights of the EDTP was about what was learned, what each entrepreneur’s Ah-ha moment was, what was the most favorite class and what the biggest challenge was during this program. Before these questions were discussed, Annabel Soto, Office Administrator congratulated the class for completing the program and for all the hard work that each entrepreneur had done along the lines of letting the entrepreneurs know that the doors of LAEDA are always open for them for help and or guidance.

LAEDA Celebrates Its Graduates with Annual Ceremony at the Kroc Center

A favorite tradition among staff, every October LAEDA takes the time to acknowledge its community of entrepreneurs and small business owners with an annual graduation ceremony for its cornerstone nine-week trainings, the Entrepreneurial Development Training Program (EDTP) and the Women’s Business Academy. Held on October 25 at Camden’s Salvation Army Kroc Center, the event featured 24 newly-minted graduates from the Spring 2018, Winter 2018, and Fall 2017 cohorts.
