Camden, NJ- On Wednesday, April 15, 2020 LAEDA welcomed the 87th Session of the Entrepreneurial Development Training Program (EDTP) virtually through video conferencing. Over the past 33 years, EDTP has hosted the nine-week EDTP program in-person; however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the course was transformed to be hosted online. LAEDA staff worked tirelessly over a one-month period to ensure the online EDTP would not only mirror the experience of the in-person version but also remain aligned with mission and goals of nine-week program.

In response to the CDC’s recommendation, the demand for non-surgical masks have skyrocketed. Janaina Carr, alumna of the LAEDA WBC nine-week Women’s Business Academy and Terina Hill, participant of LAEDA’s eight-week Turning Your Hobby into A Business, have pivoted their business operations from ready to wear, couture, and custom accessories to masks and other protective protective equipment (PPE).
