The Latin American Economic Development Association, Inc (LAEDA) is a non-profit economic development organization dedicated to the creation of small business ownership opportunities for all minorities, to contribute to the growth and success of small businesses and the development of the marketplace in the communities we serve.

LAEDA's Administrative Offices are located at 433 Market Street, Suite 202- 2nd Floor Camden, NJ 08102.

LAEDA's programs are geared towards low and moderate-income residents and small business owners of Camden City and similiar cities in South Jersey, regardless of race, color, sex, creed and religion.

All other programs are offered to the general public regardless of race, color, sex, creed and religion.

The Entrepreneurial Development Training Program (EDTP) is held three times a year in nine-week blocks. Training is provided during the Winter, Spring and Fall. Classes are held Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at LAEDA's Training Center.

No, LAEDA does not provide loans. LAEDA has established relationships with commercial lenders throughout the Delaware Valley to assist small business owners in obtaining the financing they need. See LAEDA’s LAEDA Business Services Center page for more details on

Unfortunately, there are no grants to start small businesses. There are business plan competitions that award small cash grants to assist in the startup or expansion of a business. As a rule of thumb, there are no grants to fund the entire start up of a small business.

LAEDA does own and operate several commercial properties in Downtown and East Camden. Contact LAEDA’s offices at 856-338-1177.

LAEDA does work with a network of realtors to refer businesses who need assistance in locating commercial real estate. See the LAEDA Business Services Center pager for more details.
