Asa Bell is the owner and operator of Ase to the Rescue which offers handmade health and beauty products including Black Seed and Burdock Root Capsules, Sea Moss, Rose Oil and Rose Water. Asa Bell is a graduate of LAEDA’s Entrepreneurial Development Training Program (EDTP). We had a chance to sit down with her to ask about her experience with entrepreneurship and LAEDA's training program.

Creative Marketing Strategies From Our Alumni Showcase Event

LAEDA held an event called Creative Marketing Strategies where graduates from LAEDA’s nine-week Entrepreneurial Development Training Program and Women Business Academy came together along with other participants to not only network and share their business experiences but also to learn more about marketing including how to reach out to more customers, how to create a brand their company, and other marketing resources/ tools to expand their businesses. The event included several alumni panelists: Geovana Villacres (Geo Marketing Alliances Group LLC), Tisha Davis (Image Special Events LLC), and April Ward (Creative Content OnDemand). The panel not only shared their experiences in marketing but also offered tips for growing a business in today’s economy.

At LAEDA’s virtual event, Beyond a Bank Account - Leveraging Your Banker Relationship To Grow Your Business, many aspiring entrepreneurs came together to discuss not only their views of banks and what experiences they had with banking services but also to learn about the why a business banking relationship is important to an entrepreneur or business owner.

Citizens Bank Small Business Competition Award Winners are Announced

Camden, NJ- In a special presentation during LAEDA's Annual graduation, the winners of the LAEDA-Citizens Bank Small Business Pitch Competition were announced. The competition, open to LAEDA alumni as well as recent graduates, gave prizes totaling $10,000 to individuals who successfully completed either the Entrepreneurial Development Training Program (EDTP) or Women’s Business Academy (WBA). Two (2) prizes were awarded to past EDTP/ WBA alumni and one (1) prize was awarded to a recent participant of the nine-week program.

Celebrating Entrepreneurship at LAEDA's Annual Graduation for the Class of 2021

Camden, NJ- Thursday, October 21, 2021- The Latin American Economic Development Program Association, Inc. (LAEDA) celebrated their annual graduation ceremony for the Entrepreneurial Development Training Program and The Women’s Business Academy. The graduation was held at The Salvation Army Kroc Community Center in Camden, NJ. The graduating classes included the sessions from Fall 2020, Winter 2021 and Spring 2021.
